Hockey in Ondorkhaan Mongolia

 Last winter was the start of the very first hockey season here in Ondorkhaan Mongolia. We are developing a youth hockey league with the high school students from the four local schools here in Ondorkhaan. Here are some pictures from last season.

 
On the left we are working on passing technique. The picture on the right the hockey players are working on their skating techniques as well as balance and agility.



The first ever hockey tournament in Ondorkhaan Mongolia was held the very first weekend in March. It was great weekend there was a lot of excitement and emotion in the air. The hockey players did great and had a lot of fun. The finial game was won in the dying seconds of the first over time. The hockey players took the games to heart and really went out there and worked hard. It was fun to see them putting all the skills they had learned from practice into the game.

2013 season champions!! 

I am excited about the progress the hockey players made this past season, they did well for their first season of hockey. I am really excited to see what all will come from  the 2013 2014 season here in Ondorkhaan!
